Industrial effluent treatment is fundamentally different to municipal water and sewage treatment and requires specialist expertise to achieve a successful solution. Not only does an industrial effluent have a different composition to municipal wastewater, but the composition is often highly variable. Weekend shut-downs, product changes, batch production techniques or periodic cleaning can cause major problems with effluent treatment plants unless appropriate flexibility is designed in at the start. Alternatively, some production processes are highly regularised and this can be exploited to achieve savings over conventional design techniques. Of course, the most cost-effective solution is to eliminate or reduce effluents at source. We can undertake production audits to identify waste minimisation opportunities. We have experience in a wide variety of industrial sectors, including food & drink, paper, plastics, timber, pharmaceutical, petro-chemical, landfill and even explosives. We are an independent company with no affiliations to any suppliers and can therefore provide a fully impartial recommendation for the most appropriate equipment for your application.
